Kasper Ruud commented on Novak Djokovic`s season, during which the Serb missed half of the biggest tournaments (he was not allowed into Australia and North America due to the lack of vaccination against coronavirus) and dropped from the first line of the ranking to the eighth.
In terms of tennis, he`s doing great. But he was very unlucky with the situations and how things turned out with points, a ban on entry to many countries, which hurt him in the rankings.
But for me, he will always be one of the best players - if not the best. And he is always the favorite of any tournament. This year he showed it: he won Wimbledon, he won two titles in the last few weeks, he won in Rome. Having played only eight or nine tournaments, he is close to the top 5.
Let`s see how next season goes. I hope he will be able to enter all countries again and spend a full season.
