Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has responded to angry comments from US President Donald Trump. In an interview with Fox Wednesday, Trump said he was disappointed with the actions of the stars in the League, who knelt during the performance of the national anthem in order to peacefully protest against racial discrimination.
It`s a disgrace. We worked with them very hard to renew their season. And then I see everyone kneeling during the anthem. This is not acceptable to me, so I stopped watching the meetings. And let me tell you, I`m not the only one, the president said.
LeBron replied that no one in the basketball community cared about Trump`s audience interest. If you were trying to make me laugh, James began his speech to reporters. I don`t think the basketball community is saddened by the loss of spectator interest. I hope that everyone, regardless of race, skin color, position, understand that November is coming. This is a big moment for us Americans, Brawne added, alluding to the upcoming US presidential election.
