Cincinnati selected Joe Burrow, a former LCU quarterback and winner of the Heisman Trophy, as the best player in college football, number one in the NFL Draft. Last year, he won a fourth title in Tigers history.
`My dream came true. In my first year in college, I wasn`t very good, but things changed dramatically with a lot of work. Not just me, but everyone around me, ` he said from home. The quarterback and all his colleagues watched the NFL election in isolation and with a video link to the world.
Burrow passed for 5, 671 yards in his final season at LSU and set a record in college football with 60 touchdowns in 15 starts. He also received an offensive player award in the final against Clemson, who LSY won 42:25 for his first title since 2007.
Cincinnati was at the other pole last year. The Bengals finished the season in the NFL 2-14, and the long career of former quarterback Andy Dalton seems to be over. As expected, with the second choice Washington Redskins attracted in their ranks the opinions of the best player in general in this year`s draft - Chase Young. He is a defensive end from the University of Ohio.
