Former England national football team manager Steve McLarren is the new coach of the second division Queens Park Rangers, Sky Sports said. The 57-year-old will replace Ian Holloway`s dismissal. McLaren last worked as a consultant in the Israeli elite Maccabi (Tel Aviv). In his coaching career at the club level, he led Twente, who became the Dutch Champion in 2010, Wolfsburg in Germany, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Darby County and Newcastle United in his homeland, and was also assistantSir Alex Ferguson in Manchester United. Queens Park Rangers finished in the disappointing 16th place at the Championship in the season.
