Liverpool saved his strength and failed to cope with Everton and in his second attempt (video and gallery)7-04-2018 |
Everton and Liverpool failed to defeat Merseyside`s 231-foot derby, ending up with a zero-point strike at Goodison Park. The team of Juergen Klop, who started without five of his players, tried to save his strength, but still dominated most of the game. In the first half, Jordan Pickford made two important rescues after Solanke and Milner hit, and once Loris Carius intervened decisively. In the last 1/4 hour, however, the `caramels` took the initiative and missed three great opportunities to take the three points. Both Merseyside Derbys this season ended without a winner. Curiously, this edition of the hot collision was held without showing any yellow card.
There was only one change in the start of the caramel - Tom Davis started instead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin. As expected, Jurgen Klop had given a break to some of his stars to keep them up for a draw from the 1/4-finals of the Champions League against Manchester City. The German made five changes compared to the match on Wednesday when the `red` defeated `the citizens` by 3:0.
Mohammed Salah, who received a break, was not in the band today. Andrew Robertson also received a break while Trent Alexander-Arnold, Roberto Firmino and Alex Oksley-Chamberlain stayed on the bench. Nathaniel Klein started for the first time this season, and Ragnar Clan, who acted as a left-back backer, Georgin Vainillum, Dominic Solanke, and Danny Inggs were holders. At the last minute of Liverpool`s extended team, Alberto Moreno, who suffers a thigh injury, was eliminated. Instead, 17-year-old Raphael Kamacho sat down on the bench. Before the start of the game, the two teams paid tribute to Ray Wilkins, who died during the week.
In the eighth minute the guests played well, then Wainlundum shot from 30 meters, but his shot was very inaccurate. Four minutes later, Liverpool was much closer to the goal after Milner centered well on the left and Solanke headed, but the ball went to the side of Pickford`s door. Everton replied with a bad shuffle to Tosun from the border of the penalty area, but he crossed the crossbar.
In the 15th minute, Solanke put Everton`s defense on, but this time Pickford intervened very well and shot the shot, which was 7-8 meters long. Seconds after, the watchman of the `caramels` boxed and a shot of Milner.
In the 22nd minute, Yannick Bollasie brought a great shot from the penalty area, but Loris Karius stretched to the maximum and managed to get to the corner. Seven minutes later Pickford again saved Everton. Milner scored to the left, adjusted the ball to his left foot and directed it well to the far corner, but Everton`s goalkeeper intervened sharply. The second half began with Liverpool`s tangible territorial dominance, with the hosts taking the game deep into their half. Sam Alardais underwent two changes - Wayne Rooney gave way to Idrisa Gay, and shortly afterwards Dominic Calvert-Lewin came at the expense of Bollasie. Former Manchester United striker accepted the decision not the manager quite angrily.
