The final WTA tournament (Women`s Tennis Association) has moved to China since 2019. This year, it will last in Singapore before moving to Shenzhen. The Chinese city has been hosting the competition for 10 years or until 2028, the WTA said. The long-term contract binds women`s tennis even more to the extremely attractive Asian market. The prize pool of the tournament will be doubled up to $ 14 million for the first edition of WTA Finals in China in 2019. The tournament organizers have announced plans to build a new hall that will cost 450 million dollars and will have a capacity of 12, 000.
The women`s tennis bosses have expressed satisfaction that the race will take place for so long in one place. Over the last 10 years, the tournament has moved in several years, including Doha, Istanbul and Singapore.
