The current contract of Jose Mourinho with Manchester United expires in June 2019, and as it is approaching the middle of its course, it is inevitable for either party to demand that negotiations be opened for its prolongation. Since there has been no significant progress on the topic of the September talks, surprises, surprises, have begun to raise the stories of interest on the part of Paris Saint-Germain to one of the most titular coaches in the world.
Old Trafford, however, is not in a hurry. If, in the end, the management extends Mourinho`s contract, he will do so when he finds fit and as he finds fit. And, frankly, they are perfectly right. No matter how big the success of the Portuguese, or his trump cards, the variants before him are currently very limited.

And even if they get a green light (which my instinct points to unlikely), in United will have a trump -;an existing contract with the Portuguese for another year, which means that they can make a pretty juicy monetary compensation.
In the past, I have been quite critical of Ed Woodward and the rest of the Reds` leadership, but in the case of managing the situation with Mourinho they act very well, at least for the time being. There is absolutely no need for rushing.
