The Rhone Derby between the teams of St. Etienne and Lyon defended his reputation for the hottest clash in French football. Zofroa Gishar`s game was interrupted five minutes before the end with a 5: 0 score in favor of the kids. Nubil Fekir, the author of the last goal, annoyed the hosts` fans with joy and the supporters stormed on the pitch. The winger showed disrespect to the opponent after removing his shirt and showing it wildly in front of the greens. Still after half an hour of waiting, the game was played.
So Lyon recorded his most serious victory against the big rival. The `Kids` have never defeated the `green` with five goals difference. The previous biggest success was 4: 0 in 2006.
The duel began with a few minutes of interruption, after only 300 seconds of play, the fans of the hosts started smoke and the field visibility was greatly reduced. After the resumption, guests showed they were determined to win the derby and immediately took the initiative. So the result was discovered in the tenth minute. A few minutes later, Bertrand Traore scored a fourth goal with a technical shot with his left foot. That`s how it came to the 84th minute when Fekir found himself alone on the goalie, and once he swore falsely, he was penetrating him for the fifth time. His joy did not appeal to the fans and they started to enter the field. Stewards and law enforcement responded quickly and did not get big exceses after the ultras were pushed out of the course but the meeting was stopped for more than half an hour.
With his success today, Lyon has already gathered 25 points in his assets and is now third in the ranking. Bruno Jensio`s players are in excellent shape and have four consecutive wins. St. Etienne has already had three meetings and has dropped to sixth position with 18 points.
