Irving and Hayward with the first minutes for Celtics18-10-2017 |
Boston`s astonishing summer retires have recorded the first minutes for their new team. Keary Irving and Gordon Hayward started at the Celtics` start of a 94:82 win over Charlotte in a pre-season match, and for the Hornets debut Dwight Howard arrived from Atlanta in the summer.
Irving played 19 minutes and scored 9 points, made 3 assists and added 4 rebounds and 2 rebounds to his performance. Hayward received 17 minutes from Brad Stevens, with whom he worked in college Butler, taking 5 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assistant. The German wing Daniel Tayes led 12 points, took 7 rebounds and gave 3 assists for only 14 minutes of playing time for Boston. Newcomer Jason Tatum with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, and Aaron Baines scored 10 points.
