Kyrgios with a penalty18-10-2016 |
The tennis player Nick Kyrgios received out-of-game penalty for 8 weeks and he was fined $ 25,000 by the Association of professional tennis players (ATP).
The reason for that is his behaviour during the match of the second round of the tournament in Shanghai.
He lost to Mischa Zverev with 3:6, 1:6 and he obviously surrendered, and after the game he admitted that he did not give everything from himself and just waited for the derby to be over.
The 21-year-old player walked toward his bench, after scoring service and before waiting for Zverev to get the ball back.
Because of that action he was fined with $ 16 500 last Thursday before the new penalty be imposed.
The Australian tennis player may return to court and earlier than 15 January, if he agrees to enter into a special program that includes meetings with a sports psychologist.
