The former number one in the world Roger Federer still harboring hopes for a good performance of the season on the Red courts. It began quite tentatively matches on clay after it was dropped early in Monte Carlo last week.
Now, however, facing gigs in Istanbul next week, where is the main favorite for the title, along with Grigor Dimitrov, and then in Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros, and then transferred to the grass surface.
'In Monte Carlo was not at the level that I wanted, but my hopes for a strong season remain. My goal is to present a really high level in Istanbul now, and then the rest of the tournaments, to be fit for Roland Garros.'
'That's where I want to get at least to the semifinals, but yet to see what will happen. However, these are my plans, and what's going to happen, it's too early to say.'
