The Russian Maria Sharapova won the tennis tournament on hard courts in the Chinese capital Beijing with prize fund 5.43 million dollars. Fourth placed Sharapova, who is vice-champion from 2012 , defeat in the final number 3 and twice champion from "Wimbledon" Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic) with 6: 4, 2: 6, 6: 3 for 2:28. For the 27-year-old Sharapova, this is the first title in Beijing and 33 career. She won the tournament for the first time since "Roland Garros" in June.
Kvitova lead with 2: 0 : in the first set but her opponent equalized and then showed excellent game and won with 6: 4. In the second part had the Czech woman again lead in the result with 4: 1, and then took two of the next three games. In the decisive third set, Sharapova took advance with 3: 0, then made another breakthrough in the sixth game for 4: 2. By the end won both submissions and thus Sharapova reached her first trophy in Beijing.
On Monday, the Russian will climb to No. 2 in the WTA world rankings, in which is currently in the fourth position. Sharapova record sixth victory in eight matches against Kvitova.
Czech woman failed to take a second consecutive title, having triumphed in Uhah last Saturday.
