Djokovic record 21st consecutive victory, waits Grigor or Andujar2-10-2014 |
Defending champion and four-time champion Novak Djokovic (Serbia) qualified for the quarterfinals of the tennis tournament on hard courts in Beijing with a prize of 3.75 million dollars. The leader in the world rankings Djokovic beat Vashek Pospisil (Canada) with 6: 3, 7: 5 for 85 minutes and record a 21st win 21 games in the Chinese capital. Djokovic realized early break and led with 3: 1, and then broke again in the ninth game to take the first set.
The second part was much more challenging, as the champion of pairs of "Wimbledon" Pospisil managed to break through for the first time for 4: 3 and with 5: 4 reached to a setball in his own service. At the crucial moment, however, the Canadian who finished with 14 aces cracked, allowing Djokovic to reach the final success after a series of four consecutive games.
So the Serb expects the winner of the match between the best Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov and the Spaniard Pablo Andujar. The match had to be played today in the morning , but was postponed because of rain.
