Seeded № 3 Samantha Stosur picked fifth trophy in her career and second of the season after beating the teenage from Canada Eugenie Bouchard in the final of the tournament in Osaka with a prize fund 235 000 USD.
29-year-old Australian beat difficult 10 years younger than her Canadian in three sets 3-6, 7-5, 6-2. Earlier this year, the two met in the 1/8 finals in Charleston and Stosur lost the first set and the second dropped because of injury.
The Australian triumph in Californian city Carlsbad in August and first becomes winner of two tournaments in one season. Bouchard did play for the first time in the final tournament of the WTA. Samantha Stosur won her first title exactly in Osaka in 2009
"I love playing here. The spectators are great and I always feel great support in Osaka," said Stosur, then pronounce a few words in Japanese, and was applauded by the fans.
