Juan Martin Del Potro passed the second round of Masters Cup in Shanghai, after a difficult victory over Philipp Kohlschreiber with 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).
Placed under № 6 Del Potro will play the third round with the better of the match between the Germans Daniel Brands and Tommy Haas.
Last week, the Argentine tennis star won the 16th trophy of his career and first on hard court at the tournament in Tokyo, Japan.
In the final match the South American beat the young Canadian Milos Raonic in straight sets 7-6, 7-5.
Due to his success Del Potro went from seventh to fifth place in the rankings.
