Rafael Nadal said after losing from Novak Djokovic in the tournament in Beijing, that he will do everything in his power to finish the year as number 1.
"I could not stop Novak this time. He played too strong and I did not perform in the best way. Djokovic had a very high level of the serve in this match, "said the Spaniard.
"A couple of weeks I will be first in the rankings and will try to keep on top until the end of the year. For me it is very important that I am once again number 1 because after the injuries that tormented me, I thought that I would never be on top. I play perhaps one of the best seasons of my career. This year is certainly one of the most emotional for me, "said Nadal.
"The season is very long and difficult. I'm happy about everything that happened. I hope to be at 100% ready for the tournament in Shanghai, because it is important, one of the most important of the season. This is one of the toughest tournaments because in the beginning the battle starts between the best players, "said Nadal.
