Nadal has a positive balance against all the players from the top 3021-08-2013 |
"If the true measure of a champion is the ability to come out victorious in matches against the top contenders, then no one is above Rafael Nadal," wrote on his official ATP website, marking another significant achievement of the Spanish tennis player.
The winner of 12 Grand Slam titles has a positive balance against absolutely all players of the top 30 of the rankings, as in all cases, except one, he has won more than 65 percent of the matches against the particular opponent. The only exception is the world No. 1 Novak Djokovic, against whom Nadal has won 21 of 36 games, or 58.3%.
Roger Federer against Nadal owns an impressive 21-10 balance, but even he pales in comparison to his performance against other of the best players in the world: David Ferrer (20-4), Tomas Berdych (15-3), Richard Gasquet (10 -1), Stanislas Wawrinka (10-0), Nicolas Almagro (10-0), Fernando Verdasco (14-1). Against Grigor Dimitrov, who occupies 28th place in the world rankings, Nadal has the perfect balance - 3 wins from 3 matches, while Djokovic and Federer are the only players from the top 30, recorded more than 5 wins against the Spaniard in his career.
