Carlos Berlocq won the Swedish Open in Bastad, defeating with 2-0 sets over the eighth placed in the main draw Fernando Verdasco. He won with 7-5, 6-1.
This is the first title of the ATP tournament for 30-year-old Argentinean, in his second final.
Berlocq broke the serve of Verdasco twice in the second set after a dramatic first part, which lasted more than an hour.
For a place in the final, Verdasco eliminated the Bulgarian first racket Grigor Dimitrov.
