Roger Federer started the season on grass with a quick victory over the German Cedrik-Marcel Steben with 6-3, 6-3 in a second round match of the tournament in Halle.
Five-time winner of the title does not have difficulties against the 22-year-old opponent, who is 166th in the world rankings, and reached the final success for a little over an hour. Federer managed to break the serve of his opponent four times and, in turn, allowed only one break. In the next round seeded first in the main draw will face another German - Mischa Zverev, who is No. 156 in the rankings.
