Serena Williams won a record sixth title at the Masters Series tournament in Miami, defeating over Maria Sharapova with 4-6, 6-3, 6-0.
The award is the sixth in the career of the world number one and thus she has become an absolute record holder in won number of trophies in the tournament as she pass Steffi Graf, who has 5.
The match did not suggested what will happen. Williams was not convincing in her performances and allowed many waste in her actions. This allowed to Sharapova to take set an advance.
The second set started well for Serena Williams and she led with 2-0 games. Then, however, saw a decline in the game of the future champion, but on behalf of that she was perfect in the third set. She was uncompromising and beat with 6-0 games.
We recall that this is the second finale of Sharpova lost within two years. Over the past year, she left again defeated in the decisive match but from Agnieszka Radwanska.
