Rafael Nadal lost the final of his first tournament back on the court after seven months absence. The Argentinean Horacio Sebayos beat illustrious opponent with 6-7 (2) 7-6 (6), 6-4 in the tournament in Chile.
Nadal healed injury in his left knee, was ahead in the final game, but failed to take his 37th title on clay. Sebayos even took his first singles title in all competitions, and would not budge on anything Spaniard in the battle for the trophy. Until the third set, both failed to break through, but finally the Argentinean took service game of Nadal and successfully shut the part to win and the match and the tournament.
For Rafa Nadal this is only the fifth time he lost the final on clay in 41 played.
