The winner of the "Davis Cup" for 2012, the Czech team qualified for the quarterfinals of this year's tournament, the unofficial world championship for men, having led in Switzerland with 3:1 before the final single match. In the first game of a single Tomas Berdych beat Stanislas Varvinka with 6:3,6:4,3:6 and 7:6 (7:5).
The last game between Henry Laksonen (Switzerland) and Lucas Rosso (Czech Republic) is irrelevant for the final standings. In team of Switzerland for "Davis Cup" did not play Roger Federer.
