The leader in the scheme of the Australian Open Novak Djokovic made a very dramatic win over Stanislas Wawrinka in five sets and qualified for 1/4-final.
Djokovic beat the Swiss with 1:6, 7:5, 6:4, 6:7 (7:5), 12:10, and the battle between them lasted little more than five hours.
Wawrinka started well the game and won the first set with the categorical 6:1, but then trouble occurs with trauma and Djokovic took advantage of this by winning the next two sets.
The fourth set was won by the Swiss and so it came to fifth, which last for 103 minutes and was eventually won with 12:10 by Nole, who defended his title from last year.
In the quarterfinals of the Australian Open the Serbian number one will have as opponent the Czech Tomas Berdych, who beat with 6:3, 6:2, 7:6 (15:13) the South African Kevin Anderson.
