The former Open champion Ana Ivanovic of France passed into the fourth round of the Australian Open after beating with 7-5, 6-3 her compatriot Jelena Jankovic.
In the first set, Ivanovic led with 5-2, but then allowed her opponent to take three games. Ultimately Ivanovic breaks Jankovic and won the set with ace.
25-year-old Ivanovic had not so much trouble in the second set to go ahead in the race.
