Rafael Nadal is ready to get back on the court and to play tennis at the highest level after he confirmed his participation in an exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi at the end of the month. The former No. 1 said he is ready for the serious challenges of 2013, after the six-month treatment of a knee injury.
"I can not wait to get back on the court in Abu Dhabi at the end of the month, said the 11-time winner of the Grand Slam tournaments on his Facebook and Twitter. I won the tennis championship Mubadala in the UAE in 2010 and and in 2011 , so what better the trophy to be in my hands this month.
The 26 years old Nadal began training on the court in his hometown of Manacor on the island of Mallorca on November 20th under the guidance of his uncle and coach Toni Nadal and his physiotherapist.
The tournament starts in Abu Dhabi on 27th December and will bring together six players, including No. 1 ranked Novak Djokovic and No. 3 Andy Murray (Britain)
