The Swiss tennis star Roger Federer arrived in Sao Paulo for the beginning of the South American tour.
The record-breaking In Grand Slam titles Federer will play six demonstrative matches during Dec. 6 to 15 in Brazil, Argentina and Colombia.
The 31 years old Swiss, who was professional from 1998, for the first time will play matches in Brazil and Argentina.
He started the series with three games in Sao Paulo. On December 6, Federer will face Brazil's leading player Thomas Bellucci, two days later, is scheduled match against the Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and on December 9 he will meet the German Tommy Haas.
On 12 and 13 December Federer will have two matches against the Argentinian ace Juan Martin del Potro in Buenos Aires, with tickets for the hall with a capacity of 20,000 seats already sold out.
Federer ended the series in Bogota on December 15 with
one more match against Tsonga.
The revenue from the tour of about 8 million dollars will be paid to the charity Federer Foundation.
