Russian Maria Kirilenko said she was pleased with her good start in the tournament champions of WTA in Sofia. Kirilenko won her first match in the group "Sredets" against the Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova with 6:1, 6:4.
"It wasn't an easy game and I am glad that I managed to complete in two sets. I did not know what to expect because I had not previously met with Tsvetana.
