The best Estonian tennis player Kaia Kanepi will miss the tournament champions in WTA in Sofia because of injury, said the Estonian press.
Kanepi, 27 years old, suffers from injury in the right heel which will not allow her to enter the race in "Arena Armeec" from October 30 to November 4.
The Estonian missed "Wimbledon" Olympics in London and the U.S. Open for the treatment of the same problem.
Kanepi returned to the game after nearly four months of absence in mid-September and reached the final of the tournament in Seoul.
A week later, she participated in the race in Tokyo, where he was eliminated in the second round, then said that the pain in the heel have resumed and because of that she refused to participate in the tournament in Moscow.
The Estonian visited a specialist in Finland and tried to solve problems with laser therapy and specific treatment, but her condition has not improved and that almost certainly require surgery.
Seeded first in the tournament of champions in Sofia will be Caroline Wozniacki (Denmark) and participation also confirmed Nadia Petrova (Russia) and Roberta Vinci (Italy) and the received a "wild card" Maria Kirilenko (RUS) and Tsvetana Pironkova (Bulgaria).
