Venus Williams ranks to his first final for nearly two years, after defeating Germany's Andrea Petkovic with 5:7, 6:4, 6:4 in the women's scheme tennis tournament in Luxembourg. The American who treated a variety injuries and autoimmune disease in the last two years, will play for the title against Monica Niculescu.
The Romanian, on 25 years old, has no title tournaments under the auspices of the WTA, while Williams has reached 43 singles trophy, but the last of which came in 2010 in Acapulco.
In the semifinal against Williams, Petkovic came to 4:4 in the final set, but then lost her own submission. The American did not miss her chance and won the match for 2:38.
