The Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal who treats a knee injury, will seek to return to court in January 2013 to participate in the Australian Open.
The former No. 1 in the world rankings has not played more than four months after losing in the second round at Wimbledon this summer.
"I was hoping to come back as number 1 back in 2012, but now my goal is to play at the Australian Open. Many will be happy if I achieve it, "said Nadal.
"We have to be ready at 100 percent. Anything is possible. I hope to began to train more often, "said Rafael Nadal.
The Australian Open starts on Jan. 14, 2013.
