The Spaniard David Ferrer secured a place in the final tournament of the ATP in London, which will be held in November.
Ferrer, No. 5 in the world rankings, will play for the fourth time in his career in the race involving the eight strongest players in the world.
Nadal joins to world No. 1 Roger Federer (Switzerland), Novak Djokovic (Serbia), Andy Murray (England) and Rafael Nadal (Spain) who will participate in the tournament.
"I am very happy because for me it's amazing," said the 30 years old Ferrer, who won five titles this season.
Rafael Nadal is injured and will probably miss the final tournament of the ATP. His place could be taken by Janko Tipsarevic (Serbia), who is currently ninth in the rankings.
Tomas Berdych (Czech Republic), Juan Martin del Potro (Argentina) and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (France) are also almost certain participants in the tournament, which starts on November 5th in the capital of England.
