Djokovic qualified for the finals in Beijing8-10-2012 |
Two-time champion Novak Djokovic (Serbia) qualified for the finals of the tennis tournament in the Chinese capital Beijing with prize money 2.2 million dollars.
The leader in the scheme and number two in the world Djokovic beat the German Florian Mayer with 6:1, 6:4 in 60 minutes.
Djokovic, who seeks a third title after 2009 and 2010, continued his perfect series in Beijing with 13th victory in 13 games.
Last season, he participated in the tournament.
Number 1 in the scheme had three break and finished with seven aces.
In the final Djokovic will play against the third placed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (France).
Tsonga led with 6:1, 4:1 against Feliciano Lopez, the Spaniard then abandoned due to injury of the wrist of the left hand.
The meeting lasted only 42 minutes.
So Frenchman keep the chances of ranking in ATP finals in London.
"I played really well. Feel great on the court.I am sure that tomorrow will also be presented at a level," said Tsonga, who is ranked 15th finale in his career.
