Seeded fourth Williams defeat Caroline Voznyatski (Denmark) with 6:0, 6:3 for 77 minutes.
The American won the first seven consecutive games in the meeting. After having exchanged by one game in the second set Williams led with 4:1 and had no problems until the end.
She scored six aces and made total of 30 winning hits against just 7 of her opponent.
The 30 year old Williams, who has 14 Grand Slam titles, is seeking first Olympic singles gold. She has two doubles titles with her sister Venus.
In the semifinals will play against American world No 1 Victoria Azarenka (Belarus).
