Seeded 1st in the main draw Victoria Azarenka surprisingly dropped from the Open Tennis Championship in France. In the meeting of the fourth round the representative of Belarus lost from Dominika Cibulkova with 2:6, 6:7 (4).
Azarenka, the champion of the Australian Open, give priority of the Slovakian early in the first set and failed to return to the game in the second part. In the jangling nerves and frustration Azarenka tossed her racket to the ground and was punished by the judge in the chair.
Vika Azarenka served to win the second set with 6:5 in her favor, but conceded a new trial and then lost the tiebreak with 4:7. If placed under No. 2 Maria Sharapova reached the final of the "Roland Garros" Azarenka will lose top spot in the rankings.
Seeded 15th Cibulkova played in the semifinals of the Open de France in 2009 year. The Slovak player had no win in battle against Victoria Azarenka in the last four seasons.
