Dane Caroline Voznyatski will end the year as world number one after Maria Sharapova withdrew from the championship of the WTA, because of ankle injury. Tournament organizers announced that Russia's Sharapova, who had lost his second match of the group of Chinese Na Li in Istanbul, a strain in the left ankle. The Russian had a chance to replace their Danish colleague from the top, but ultimately it can not happen and it will be replaced by Marion Bartoli.
