Seeded ninth in the overall scheme Jurgen Melzer (Austria) and Philippe Pechner (Germany) won the doubles title of the men the U.S. Open tennis. Melzer in the final and defeated Pechner 6 in the scheme and Mariusz Firstenberg Matkovski Marcian (Poland) 6-2, 6-2. The meeting lasted only 48 minutes, and the winners made five breaks. Meltzer and Pechner will receive 420,000 dollars in prize money. This was the first title for a couple of US Open, but second in the Grand Slam since Wimbledon in 2010.
