Former world No 1 Serena Williams continued to recover the familiar form, having won 6-3, 7-6 (5) Czech woman Lucy Hradechka meeting in the first round of the women's circuit tennis tournament in Cincinnati.
Williams, who won in Toronto on Sunday, chasing victory in the third tournament after 11-month absence. In the second round match of the American will face Australia's Samantha Stosur, who won with ease over Danilidu Eleni from Greece after a 6-3, 6-1 in his first game.
Williams is performing brilliantly in the first set and crushed her opponent with excellent service. However, fatigue showed in the second when the lead with 5-1 games, but a long time failed to overcome the resistance of Hradechka.
"I played for about a year, and has not previously participated in enough games. But I prefer to be tired than fresh and without a win, "Williams was laconic.
