American John Isnar won his second Cup ATP tournament after beating Belgian Olivier Rosu 6-3, 7-6 (6) to finish in Newport. Isnar made 22 aces at the time against Rosu, which is lower by 38 cm by striking his opponent. This became the first American leader in the scheme, which won the tournament in 35 years. Isnar join the tournament at the end of registration and missed the wedding of his brother to win the title.
