Bulgaria fell into a third group of Europe-Africa zone after the country's 3-1 loss in Cyprus in Davis Cup playoffs.
In the decisive match of Cyprus defeated country after Marcos Baghdatis managed to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-7, 5-7 Bulgarian player Dimitar Kutrovski. The match was played more than three hours in which the rocket in Bulgaria showed decent skills and talents in a duel with world number 24 Baghdatis.
Bulgaria has one more meeting with Cyprus, but the general result is not decisive.
