The new champion of the British Open Tennis Novak Djokovic (Serbia) said that their dreams come true by winning the tournament.
Second-seeded Djokovic beat the final driver in the scheme last year's champion Rafael Nadal (Spain) with 6:4, 6:1, 1:6, 6:3 to 2:28.
With the success of 24-year-old belgradchanin not only dethrone Nadal at Wimbledon, but Monday will replace the Spaniard and the first position in the world rankings.
"This is the best day of my life, the most special. It is difficult to describe in words all the emotions. This is my favorite tournament," Djokovic said of the ceremony Cup champion.
"Wimbledon was the first tournament in my life that I watched on TV. I still think that dream because I've always dreamed of winning here. This is the most beautiful moment in my career," he added.
He credited and a finalist Rafael Nadal. "When you go to court against the best player in the world, Rafael Nadal, you have to show my best tennis. Nadal broke his series of 20 consecutive wins at Wimbledon. He won titles in 2008 and 2010, and in 2009 did not play because of injury.
"I'm glad I came back finals here. I tried to give the best of themselves, but today it was not possible because he was better than me. I will try again to win next year," said the Spaniard.
