Second round of the Bulgarians in Plovdiv became five11-05-2011 |
Another three Bulgarian players skipped the first round of Zagorka Tennis Cup in Plovdiv. For osminafinalnata stage of the tournament today ranked Dimitar Kuzmanov, Tihomir Grozdanov and Todor Enev.
Before their own crowd on center court at TC Lokomotiv Kuzmanov beat George Belafutas from Greece with 2:0 sets. The young hope of Bulgaria was a class above their opponents and deservedly find its place among the top 16 after 6:3, 6:2.
Finalist from Varna Tihomir Grozdanov even drew with 2:1 sets Russian Ilya Lebedev. In the first part Grozdanov had difficulties and lost 3:6, but in the next two sets showed concentration and reached the win after 6:1, 6:1.
Other plovdivchanin Todor Enev also continues in the second round, having defeated with 6:4, 6:1 Byelorussian Egor Gerasimov.
Peter Trendafilov dropped from the race, although it played an equal match against qualifier Ilie Dzhiurdzhiu. The meeting ended with victory for Romanian 7:5, 4:6, 6:4.
So after playing all the matches from the first round of main draw, a total of five Bulgarians will represent our country in the second round of Zagorka Tennis Cup in Plovdiv, after this phase have already qualified Valentin and Alexander Lazov.
