The champion of the U.S. Open in 2009, Juan Martin Del Potro (Argentina) almost certainly will miss Roland Garros through injury, told Reuters.
22-year-old Del Potro moved Medical Research in Buenos Aires, which showed a 8-mm tear of the left thigh muscle.
"I started rehabilitation. I will do everything possible to participate in Paris. In no case, however, will not rush to get back on the court, if I'm ready," said Del Potro, who is 31 and in the world rankings at the moment.
The Argentine won nine titles in his career in early May in Estoril. He returned to the game early in the season after missing almost the entire previous season because of surgery on the wrist.
