Russian Nikolay Davydenko won the tennis tournament in Munich after victory with 6:3, 3:6, 6:1 over German Florian Mayer in the final. Davydenko, who won the tournament in Munich in 2004, already has 21 victories in tournaments of the Association. Last Davydenko won the tournament was in January 2010 in Doha. He succeeded his compatriot Mikhail Youzhny, who won in 2010. Besides cash prizes, Davydenko received a brand new BMW 1 for the prize.
For its part, Florian Mayer, who beat 1/4-final Grigor Dimitrov, played their
quarter finals of the ATP tournament, but has not yet won a tournament.
