No. 2 player in the world of men Novak Djokovic, who has never lost this year, declined participation Masters Series tournament in Monte Carlo next week because of a knee injury.
"This is bad news not only for the tournament organizers and fans, but for me. This is my favorite tournament," said 23-year-old Serb said in a statement, without specifying how long it will recover from trauma.
Djokovic has 26 consecutive wins since December, after winning the Australian Open and tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami.
