Italian Grand Inter is interested in Atlético Madrid defender Jose Jimenez. The 22-year-old Uruguayan central defender has not played regularly for Diego Simeone since the start of the season. His contract with the mats expires after the end of the season, but the youngster is believed to be close to renewing the contract. Jimenez is expected to remain on Wanda Metropolitano until 2022, and the new treaty will have a 60m-euro exemption clause. According to FCInterNews, Inter Milan`s sport director, Piero Ausillio, wants to attract Giuseppe Meazza`s defender and has received the green light for it from the Chinese owners of Suning. Inter is expected to step up on the eventual transfer of Gimenez in the summer. The Milan Nerazzur, however, are not the only team to follow the situation around the Uruguayan. Manchester City and Juventus are two other clubs that are believed to have glanced at Jimenez.
