1-seeded David Ferrer (Spain) beat Argentine David Nalbandian 6:3, 6:2 in the finals of the tournament in Auckland.
Ferrer, who is number 7 in the world, champion here in 2007. He reached victory for 58 minutes. The title is the 10th of his career.
The tournament in Auckland was a great preparation for David groove for starting on Monday the first Grand Slam - the Australian Open. In the first round the Spaniard will face Jarkko Nieminen (Finland).
