Our first rocket Tsvetana Pironkova in women decreased by one position and occupies 35 th place in the WTA rankings. Pironkova will probably finish the year in this position since the season ended with the women of the WTA Championships last night, won by Kim Clijsters. Triumph of the Belgian helped her to climb to third position in the rankings where displace American Serena Williams. Number 1 Caroline remains Voznyatski, followed by Vera Zvonareva and Kim Clijsters.
