The Swiss tennis player Stan Wawrinka defeated Juan Monaco in three sets and qualified for the third round of the 'Masters' in Rome.
The Argentinian won the first set with 6:4 but the pasted under the No 8 Wawrinka failed to make a full twist - 6:3, 6:2 in the next two sections.
The duel lasted two hours and 12 minutes. For a place in the 1/4-finals Wawrinka will play with Dominic Team (Austria) or Gilles Simon (France).
No 11 Feliciano Lopez of Spain, who outplayed Australian talent Nick Kiros in two sets with 6:4, 7:6 is moving forward as well.
