Juan Martin del Potro rejected his proposed 'wild card' for the tournament in Indian Wells, which began this week. The Argentinian still has not recovered from injury of the wrist of his left hand.
In recent months, the champion of the Australian Open in 2009, the United States is recovering after two surgeries on his wrist.
'If I'm well you can run in Miami on 23 March', said del Potro, who two years ago was a finalist in Indian Wells.
The Argentinian made an unsuccessful attempt for a comeback on the Court in January at the tournament in Sydney, but then declined the participation of Australian Open Australia.
