The legendary Roger Federer could play the last season in his career, but his hunger for success in them has decreased. Just hours after he returned to second place in the world rankings, he admitted that aims again at the top.
At the moment both are separated by about 2500 points. But if Federer won tournaments remaining until the end of the year, he will end in 2014 as a leader in the rankings, regardless of the outcome of the Serb.
Federer will take part in the race in his native Basel, then Masters in Paris and at the last tournament of the year in London. A "icing on the cake" for the legend will be Davis Cup final against France from 21 to 23 November.
"I'll be back in Switzerland and arrange my priorities - Basel, Paris, London and the first in the world. Of course there's the Davis Cup," Federer told the media in his country.
